I notice that the way it's reported however in biased against the West... everyone knows that we have the right to intervene in any foreign society that doesn't share our democratic values and it's pretty obvious from some of the pictures that women don't have equal rights because they don't have the same entitlement as men to join the army - the only persons holding weapons are men and women have to paint themselves black - that's discrimination that it. You can bet that women don't have the same rights to education and I'll tell you something else as well - there's no toleration of homosexuality in these types of society so by driving them off their land we're actually promoting gay rights. I agree with you - there should be more publicity not for the hard luck story which is the slant we always seem to get but to reinforce the message that democracy is going to prevail and discrimination and inequality will be rooted out wherever we find it.

km

And from far left field it's . . .

I can't even line item that it's so twisted. Your logic is always amusing.

------>#1 - JD's Trivia game

------>#2 - MM-MCF Trivia game
Edited by Reboot on 06/10/08 11:15 AM (server time).

Well, I pay a good deal of attention to the news, and that was the first time for me to see that story covered. Meanwhile, I heard lots and lots about, for example, if Big Brown would win the triple crown. And I really DON'T think that story gets the coverage it deserves, even with your citations.

And, by the way, thanks for the compliment that I'm "always looking for the good in humanity." I'm very flattered that you would make that observation. And it's true, too, I really expect to find this "good." Except, of course, for the fact that the human race generally sucks!
