I agree, and I think the "Polls" are nothing but media manipulations to "sell news". I think it'll be a huge spread... (IF they reported a lopsided poll, people would quit paying attention! -there goes their cash cow.)

today's 5.5 % unemployment** shows we're headed into stormy economic waters. AND McCainster, Bush, and all the GOP can take most the credit.

**And I think they're cooking the books on that to prevent a public panic !! I think it's much higher ... and so is inflation.

Get Obama to debate McCain and it'd be a lamb to the slaughter... McCain has 1 issue Iraq /terrorism, ask people and the economy, education, jobs, health care, energy-gas, and SS are above Iraq and terrorism... what amnswers does McCain have on those ... he clueless as Bush. Obama will clean McCain's clock !!

But on the hot water and dehydrated babies issue ... McCain wins !! ... is he going to put food on our families ?

David (OFI)

In reply to:

No doubt about McCain's terrible campaign skills

Makes you wonder why their high-paid marketing team makes him look as bad as he sounds. Please invest in this thing called photoshop... from his website:

McCain has already said he didn't care if we were there for 100 years... even said 10,000 years.

so this IS expensive...

and (2) Iraq is not Germany or Korea where things are more civilized... as long as we're there we'll have to pay lots of $$ to the war chiefs like Sadr or face regiular casualties every month we sit there.. . it will come with much collateral one way or the other, in addition to the military cost.. THAT's where he's delusional !!

I fear there're a big economic crash coming... today oil surged $11 in a single day.. partly cause the dollar fell to even weaker levels. .. as a result of GW Bush's abysmal economic policies and rampant spending.

Like the energy oil crunch... the economic situation is the same,,, pay now or pay later... the later you pay, the greater the pain. We have had NO leadership from this group. It has been always take the "easy road" that ends up leading us to disaster. .. energy, fiscal policy, economics, jobs...
well - the "house of cards" is beginning to fall.

David (OFI)
I still think this is a "give me" for Obama. How can McCain win this election?
The more I think about it the more I like Poly's suggestion that General Clark should be Obama's running mate.
That way it will look like Obama can handle the economy and health care while Gen. Clark can help Obama with foreign affair decisions.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
[color:blue]This plays into Obama's superior judgement on what to do with the war. - He has "no" superior judgement at all - Obama is not privy to all the Top Secrete Documents thats labeled President Only <<-- if he should get elected and starts to read that shiit only then we would see what his judgement will be. Right now he is just arm chair quarterbacking, same with Hilary and McCain. Simply the White House does not mail out Top Secrete documents to everyone in the Senate and Congress

I agree...as long as someone, like George Stephanopoulos,
isn't called upon to throw McLame softball questions all night.

i don't think even I could sit through that! (read: THOSE)

[color:green]"...or am I a butterfly that's dreaming she's a woman?"
Yeah...

that's what I said back in 2000: "it's all over but the hangover"

We went to bed with President Al Gore 'thanking the little people'
...to awake at dawn's early light to this persistent 8 yr nitemare.

IOW...don't count your chicken just yet.

[color:green]"...or am I a butterfly that's dreaming she's a woman?"
nah, the bush administration went out of their way to read what they knew supported their direction and ignore the rest. that's what got us into this mess. that's extremely poor judgment bordering on treason since it's resulted in thousands of lost American lives, not to mention the tens or hundreds of thousands of iraqi lives.

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions
Yes I agree, Clark would be very good .... or how about Sam Nunn ? whoa... can't call either a wimp.

Nothing disrespectful to McCain, but I don't think sitting 4-5 years in POW camp makes you savvy about foreign policy ... and it could really screw up your perceptions.

....walking through a Bagdad market with 200+ troops , attack helicopters and armored Hummers and saying "it's safe"... suggests the latter.

David (OFI)
