Ah....I was under the impression that it is best to turn the other cheek. Silly me.

For real, who gives a damn that other people don't like the computer you have chosen? Are you kidding me? Does it really matter?

And I'm not the only one who avoided Macs for years simply because of the attitude that I sense from Mac users sometimes. If you really want to advocate for Macs, encourage Mac users to be nicer to PC users.

Well, when most PC users tell you that your Mac is only a toy....

I'm glad you're now using a Mac and, if you really, really feel the need, you can also install and run Windows on it. All the Mac vs. PC arguments weren't so much over hardware as they were (are) over the OS.

Well, when people say something about me that isn't true...I usually ignore them.

I actually don't feel any need whatsoever to install Windows on my MBP. I thought I might but I can't think of any good reason. Wish I had made the switch sooner.

Like Michael said, when people say things that simply are not true, I can't just ignore them.

For example, the IT guy at work is windows only. When we talk computers, he'll say something in a snide way about how "macs can't do ________", and I correct him simply because when others hear him, they take it as gospel.

For the majority of computer users out there, when they hear/read something they take it as being real, even if the source was wrong.

[color:white]I'm also the Moderator here

my photos

Maybe it's not so much that he hates Mac Fanboys, it's that Windows Fanboys are SO cool, intelligent, and fun to be with, that any other kind of Fanboy just can't measure up.

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net

It seems as though he STILL doesn't know that MS Office (he mentions Word, Excel, PPT) does exist for Mac (And always has... Word was on Mac first, I believe.)

But I'm glad he has learned to get by without Office.

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net

It won't be long now until you're a Mac Fanboy.

I'm glad you like it. Most of us made it through the "Apple is dying" days pretty much unscathed. Those dreary years are why I learned to maintain and repair my Macs on my own. I've had to use Windows in the work place for years and, really, there is no comparison.

Please wander over to the other forums that are available. There are folks who use both Windows and Mac OS for various reasons and require some help from time to time. Check out Stan's Lounge for the links, or if you'd like, I'll repost them here. This little internet outpost is going bye-bye soon.
