There is a comment from a PC user that he would never switch because he cannot stand MacFanboys. He even says he knows Macs are better.

Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

The best thing that ever happened to Apple is Vista. THAT has been the driving force behind the deluge of switchers lately. For the first time folks are seriously comparing what a Mac vs PC has to offer. I also believe that Apple's advertising campaign is an all out success.

Three things have converged to get people to finally switch: Tons of advertising, sleek retail stores and Microsoft's blunder.

He still doesn't quite "get" the closed architecture argument. I've always had the option and ability to add/change RAM and drives when needed on my Macs including the LC I still have somewhere in the garage.

Oh, I "get it". Jeez. I never said that my prior reasons for not switching were correct. But those are common (mis)conceptions that people have.

Though my thoughts about Mac users still stands....even on this thread there is such an arrogant dismissive attitude towards PC users.

That's because of all the BS we have gotten from windows users for years.

edit: oh wait, I just read your blog. This comment you posted:
"But I have tried to do my best not to harangue everyone I know about how much I love my Mac, how cool it makes me, and how all of life's problems will be solved by Steve Jobs."

Where DO you hang out that you hear all that? Sure, online is one thing but even here you don't hear us talking about the last 2 parts.

my photos
Edited by OSXaddict on 05/23/08 01:50 PM (server time).

I don't make a big deal of using a Mac, but every time some PCer finds out, I get the business (as the Beav used to say). It's hard not to respond in kind, I have to say.

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]
