So I got one of those Razer mouses . . . and hate the damned thing. Anyone want it? I'll send it to whoever PMs me first . . . free of charge, naturally, just to get it out of my house. The cats are getting nervous cause the mouse is quicker than they are.

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

I slowed it down, changed almost everything you could on it . . . still far too responsive (if that's the term of art for irritating )

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

Did you get the model with Mac drivers? The one I bought doesn't have Mac drivers, so I'm using USB Overdrive with it. You can change the resolution/sensitivity of the mouse with the USB Overdrive settings. Personally, I like the responsiveness - anything that minimizes the amount of movement to accomplish what I want is welcome. It did take a little getting used to, though.

Yep, got the Mac drivers, and you can change everything on there, including differentiating sensitivity between X and Y axes. Still a PITA as far as I'm concerned.

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

Which one did you pick up? If it has Mac drivers and you have not installed them you will want to. After the drivers are installed you can make it so slow that it takes several swipes with your arm to get it across your screen

I have mine where I can get across my 24" screen in with a couple inches of quick movement. I've got acceleration on, though, so if I go slow it takes ~6" to get my mouse from one edge to the other instead of ~2

If you got either the Razer|Pro ...or the new DeathAdder your drivers can be found here-o

zweisoft
One thing I had trouble with was getting my acceleration just right. If you crank it up the cursor gets far to jumpy ...just let me know if you have any other questions about the settings and I'll try to help.

zweisoft
I tried all sorts of settings, zwei, but just could not get the thing to work like I wanted it to. Either it was far too fast or far too slow. Even the scrolling speed drove me up a wall. So I'm back to my trusty Logitech, and I'm happy again

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

Well, as much as I've raved about them I feel bad that you went out and bought one and didn't like it.

Couple more things I'll say (in case you haven't already flushed it down the toilet)

1. You shouldn't ever need to click the 400 dpi setting. THAT makes it EXTREMELY slow.

2. The advanced X/Y settings don't need to be used either ...click their button to off and just adjust the speed with the one main slider in the main section. (I don't even use them and I use the mouse for gaming)

3. If you want acceleration ...you probably want a small number (mine is at 2)

Man ...I LOVE mine. You couldn't pry it from my cold dead hands

zweisoft
