"That’s why I’m in this race. I love this country too much to see it divided and distracted at this moment in history. I believe in our ability to perfect this union because it’s the only reason I’m standing here today. And I know the promise of America because I have lived it.

It is the light of opportunity that led my father across an ocean.

It is the founding ideals that the flag draped over my grandfather’s coffin stands for – it is life, and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It’s the simple truth I learned all those years ago when I worked in the shadows of a shuttered steel mill on the South Side of Chicago – that in this country, justice can be won against the greatest of odds; hope can find its way back to the darkest of corners; and when we are told that we cannot bring about the change that we seek, we answer with one voice – yes we can. "

It was much much better than I had anticipated.
Run over Rev. Wright a couple times to make sure he is dead and then proceed to the White House.

Amen to that! Well, maybe not run over him but flick him off your shoulder like the little pest that he's been and move on to the important things. Like getting us out of this unpopular war and our slack economy.

after he gave that speech, you can see his wife walk up and whisper something in his ear. i think she told him he was only down 4 points in Indiana with Lake county still to report. he looked back at her and gave that pleasant surprised look and then they continued to wave and smile to the crowd.

--
[color:red] Kansas Jayhawks -- 2008 National Champions
Oh MAN!
Do you have a Link to the Speech?
I missed it and would love to hear it.

*that is if it's ok with Lea ... to request the link.
[color:green]"...or am I a butterfly that's dreaming she's a woman?" [color:green]. . . _ _ _ . . .
North Carolina, my home state, is pretty schizo politically. On the one hand, they elected Jim Hunt, a moderate-to-liberal governor, four times. They also elected Jesse Helms four times. Where else could you have John Edwards AND Elizabeth Dole serve as senators at the same time?

Know any Indiana conservatives that voted for Hillary? They must be beaming with patriotism from their success in abusing the vote to keeping this thing going.

As a niche candidate he is very good. He appeals to 25 year olds and the ignorant equally. To paraphrase Paul Begalla from last night...."the party can't win in November with only egg heads and African-American's."

Do you really believe that we have seen the last of Rev Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko and Bernadine Dohrn? The 527's are going to redefine swift boating.
