Finder needs your attention. Following my upgrade of Now Up-to-date & Contact 4.0.2 when I click to open a saved letter for a contact, message appears, “Finder needs your attention, please select the Finder from the application”.
I switch to Finder, and lo and behold, document opens. This is tedious every time I wish to open a previous contact letter.

I have now noticed this problem on other applications.
I have grape iMac, Mac OS 9.0.3. Is the solution to upgrade to more recent Mac OS ?
I have a new iBook, and can if necessary install Mac OS X 10.1 and also install Mac OS 9.2.1.

Regards
Jim

If you want to stay with 9.x, I would install 9.2.1 and then upgrade via Apple to 9.2.2. 9.0.2 was rather incomplete and a bit buggy if my memory serves me correctly. IMHO

933 MHz, 17" lcd

I must STRONGLY disagree.

Update no further than Mac OS 9.04.

The downloadable updaters beyond that are nothing but trouble.

If you can, get a full 9.1 CD install. If not, stay at 9.04.

Don't go to 9.22 - it is for OSX only. It has no advantages whatsoever to a classic-only user. They're horrible. Avoid the downloadable updaters at all cost.

You've been warned...

Ciper13, I am sorry to hear you had so much trouble with your upgrades. I went through the whole 9 series on my Bondi imac ending with 9.2.2, which I have found to be rock solid. It is the wifes comp now and she loves the OS. I put 9.2.2 on my 2nd HD in the 933 and have not had a single crash or freeze.

933 MHz, 17" lcd
