It's more than "colorful' ... it's Evocative<br><br>By employing Emotionally Loaded Language, the Pundit has the<br>ability to reach his audience on a more Experiential Level.<br>Instead of simply making them THINK, he's making them FEEL. <br>(hitting them on a "gut level") being Emotionally Manipulative.<br><br>"Playing People".<br><br><br>Using your Example: <br>Choose which you would would prefer to experience First Hand:<br><br>1) Having a colleague turn his back on you to further his position.<br>2) Having him distance himself because you're seen as a liability.<br>3) Being crushed and dragged over asphalt beneath a large vehicle.<br><br><br>Worse still... it's even more insidious since most of the time, <br>people don't realize the emotional weight behind that "CATCHY <br>Bumper-Sticker phrase" ...or that by "Parroting" the opponent's<br>Carefully Selected and mnemonically EMBEDDED word & phrase,<br>you become like a VIRUS.... spreading the Emotional Contagion <br>into new ground ...as surely as coughing into someone's face.<br>IOW<br>Buying into their Language you're also Co-Opting their Tactics<br>the net result is: ~YOU'RE DOING THEIR JOB FOR THEM~<br><br>You may as well stand on street corners handing out THEIR fliers.<br><br>[color:white]. . . . . . . . . </font color=white>THINK ABOUT IT <br><br><br><br>[color:green]"...or am I a butterfly that's dreaming she's a woman?"</font color=green> [color:green]. . . _ _ _ . . .</font color=green><br>
