[color:blue]Your words, your supposition that the perpetrators were being honest. Again, my argument is that you are taking their word at face value, which is the weak point of your argument.

Well, I was referring to Mohammed Sidique Khan's video recorded before he killed himself in the 7/7 attack in which he said:

"Your democratically elected governments continuously perpetuate atrocities against my people..."

I don't need to question his sincerity in that belief because it happens to be factually correct. Of course, if the British Government and prosecution authorities think that he and others like him are not sincere in their sentiments then they shouldn't be describing them as 'terrorists' according to their own definitions.

km

Doanlookatme!

If it were up to me to try people for crimes against humanity, the solution I'd start with
is handing over Douche 1&2, DICK Cheney, Ronald Dumsfeld, & Paul Wolfindafoldowitz,
(for starters) to the people of IRAQ and leave it to their mercy & sense of justice to deal
with... hmmm ... scary thought that they may choose a fate similar to what the criminals
would have chosen for them, doancha think? You know... urine soaked bag over the head,
handcuffed to the floor of a air-freighter to Allah knows where? Ah! yeah, Gonzo & the
New Attorney General can go along for the ride as well. Speaking of 7/7. Isn't it rather odd that a drill was going on that day. A drill that involved those same trains with bombs, at the exact same time. Strange coincidence, same as 9/11 with the 'life-fly' hijacking drills. Odd.

A Collection of Documentaries <

So what's your justification for the IRA bombings in London back in the early 80's?

I used to think it was terrible that life was unfair. Then I thought what if life were fair and all of the terrible things that happen came because we really deserved them? Now I take comfort in the general unfairness and hostility of the universe.

In reply to:

The age of bull in the china shop mentality: bullying to get whatever you want, has been so
counter-productive in the story of HUMAN KIND that it should be outlawed, so we can move
forward to sharing wealth & resources as allies rather than this ego centric bulldust that's
been keeping us running in place, or worse yet, going backward for the last hundred years.

Well, good luck legislating against human behaviour. You can drive it underground perhaps - if that! - but you most certainly cannot eliminate it.

Besides, - even if it were possible - in order to outlaw it around the world, then the world's peoples, and the governments which allegedly exist to serve their interests, would actually have to begin to cooperate politically and economically. Do you see that happening?

If anything, competition is beginning to heat up. We are in for a rough ride.

[color:red]_________________________
[color:white]Max
I'm not trying to justify the IRA bombings. In my opening post I drew a distinction between legitimate and illegitimate causes when I said:

"the IRA cause in Northern Ireland was of dubious legitimacy to say the least... whereas that of Islamic freedom fighters is self-evidently justified..."

The IRA was no more entitled to Northern Ireland than Israel is to Palestine and for peace we must always make sure we're not backing the wrong side.

km
