They finally made a cell phone parking lot at Logan (the Boston Airport.) It's great for picking people up at the Airport. You can sit there waiting for the call from the passenger that they have picked up their bags and are heading out. Then you can pull out and pick them up at the terminal.

Before the cell lot there was no place to wait. One had to either continue circling the terminals waiting for the call or wait at the terminal even though it is "no stopping or standing." The state police will shoosh you out of there unless your passenger is there.

Now it's a breeze. You can wait, parked waiting for the call and be just minutes away.

Thanks for that explanation - sorta makes sense

I simply call/online the carrier and find out what time the planes lands and then decide what time to pick up - I have been zero time wasted so far. I guess there are bone heads who need to park and wait.?

NucleusG4, there is a seat belt law here in Mass., as well as a law against having passengers in the back of a pickup without seatbelts, but people still put their dogs in the back of their trucks. Some people have put actual seats in the back of their trucks, facing backwards, with seatbelts, thus meeting all the requirements of the law and still being able to carry extra passengers if the need arises.

That probably explains a mystery for me. I was riding with someone to the airport, and on the last long stretch of road, EVERYONE was pulled over on the dirt shoulder. The road was empty, and everyone was sitting there. We slowed down, looking for the ambulance or the downed power line We wondered why the HECK all the traffic just pulled over! I bet they were making their own informal cell lot.

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net
