I'm not in the least surprised. The naysayers just made me laugh. They're clueless. From the moment I laid eyes on the MBA, when the first shipment came into the Maui store, I knew it would be a huge hit. I was there listening to customers coming into the store and drooling. Ditto for the Apple store in Honolulu.

Hope this helps AAPL during the "recession".

A few nitwits in this very forum said that.

Of course a few are the same ones who said the iPod would never sell as well.

You forgot the bit about no one wanting a machine with a built in battery.

Edited by margadagio on 03/03/08 06:48 PM (server time).

My MBA is as cool as a cucumber. With that battery that does not come out (poor pathetic me) I run it all day without plugging in. There is virtually no heat. If I do have to use it when charging I get a very mild warm spot under the Q key. Compared the the nut roasting MBP15 or the 12inchMBG4 it feels like air conditioning.

Every day I love it more (Peewee:But I'm not going to marry it.) The angled cable on the mag connection is perfect. I think I will finally stop busting these wires off making sparks.

I hope it stays hot. After a few weeks it still has a wow factor. It is ridiculous how I have to demo it and hand it around the table if I bring it to a meeting.
