(source)<p><hr></blockquote><p>The sheer volume of Republicans getting nailed in Congress over the last few years really should put to bed the ridiculous notion spread by some that it's the media that has manufactured the impression that the former Republican Congressional Majority was corrupt.<br><br>Blaming "the media" has been beaten so hard in the last 8 years has really become the last resort of the scoundrel, from Bill Clinton to Tom DeLay to Donald Rumsfeld. Hell, the more I hear about this stuff, the more I wonder if I could ever be a congressman. Look at the idiots in the House! I'd love to serve a few terms and get that $168k/yr salary and their juicy pension. On top of that, they have those long recesses and only a congressional district to cover for constituent services.
