Mac OS X market share has jumped up to 7.57%

I like this quote:
"The makers of the study were impressed by Apple's gains, particularly during the holiday season, saying in the study, "Apple’s market share gains in December for the Mac and iPhone are impressive; however, for the last days of December, the numbers are nothing short of spectacular."

As long as it never reaches 60% I'm happy

I wouldn't mind 20%, as support from certain developers would speed up, and games would get bigger on Mac with or without Apple's help.

(For those who think gaming is leaving even Windows--I'll take my mouse to another thread )

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net
The real life figure is market share of non-corporate purchases. Until Macs make inroads in the business PC market its like comparing apples and oranges.

Unfortunately, just as VISTA is tanking and corporations are looking to see what else could replace XP Pro in their office blocks, Apple are starting to adopt M$ like practices ( iPhone lock-in's, ipod licencing for accessories etc. ) and the prospect of getting screwed again is probably going to mean Linux will grow market share faster than OSX in the corporate sector.

the whole market is OFF... down $370... lucky AAPL only fell a couple.

We're in for rough times... get your $$ to a safe place... money-market, govt bonds, gold, or anywhere but the stock market... this is economic Katrina coming.

I think the DOW may go bleow 10,000 before it's over.
IF it does it will be the GOPs worst nightmare come Nov.

David (OFI)

I take it you misunderstood what happened with iPod video-out? I don't think that has made enterprise buyers scared. And I think everyone knows AT&T (it wasn't Apple) had a reason to demand a lock-in period: Apple wanted some big things--and you don't get something for nothing.

Nobody who looks into the situation will believe the "Apple is the new Microsoft" FUD that has been added to bloggers' anti-Apple talking points.

I do look forward to seeing Linux take a bite out of Windows though!

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net
