Even the default Rep. candidate, McCain, acknowledges that green technology can only improve things, both economically as the research becomes enacted in new industries that employ more people, and diplomatically as the dependence on an oil economy diminishes, and ecologically as the green technologies clean up the environment which, regardless of who or what is responsible for the warming, can certainly stand a good scrubbing. So why are you against American technological development and prosperity when your party's candidate is not?

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

I finally voted. Dave's beer and sex slaves were the best thing on offer, and as drjohn always says, the major problem with democracy is the electorate's discovery that we can give ourselves whatever we want . . . just vote for it.

[color:red] [color:orange] [color:yellow] [color:green] [color:blue] [color:purple]

You didn't say anything I disagree with, except saying that I'm against technological development. I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion, unless you believe that a prosperous economy is diametrically opposed to technological development, which I'm sure isn't what you believe.

I think you're jumping to a big conclusion to say that McCain is "my party's candidate." While he appears to be the front-runner, he has not won the nomination. And why should I change my beliefs to totally line up with McCain? I've given my share of support to GW Bush as has been evidenced on forum discussions, but there are many things about this administration that I strongly disagree with. I will only vote for McCain because the alternative is qualitatively worse. Another (or is it the same?) Clinton or an idealistically misguided and naive left-wing newcomer to the office. I didn't vote for GW because I liked him. It was the only thing I could do to oppose the likes of John Kerry and Al Gore. It looks like I'm stuck voting an "anti" vote again if McCain is the candidate, 'cause I'm sure not voting for the Democrat, whoever it may be.

GBR (OFI)

Fine, as long as it's an exhaustive ballot!

In the meantime I will reserve my vote for the candidate who appeals to my own sense of fiscal responsibility, one who can live up to the oath of office, puts the People's interests above special interests, surrounds themselves with smart and engaging doers, knows the difference between real and imagined threats, and one who is capable of using and enunciating polysyllabic words.

M i c h a e l (OFI)
should we "Read your lips" (avatar) to fill in the [censored] part Trog??

I do believe it's a 4 letter word....

sounds like ...

David (OFI)

Now I just need to buy some more votes as this makes me tied with DLC.

DLC's cheap tactic of offering free beer and sex is just that. A tawdry trick with no backing. The dude's from Atlanta!
