I just talked with Microsoft this morning. I was calling to confirm I want them to send me my copy regardless of how long it's taking. I got the Black Friday sale deal - so I got the $500 version for $49.00. <br><br>The lady told me they were shocked by the response. They expected about 10,000 orders and they got 50,000. So it's talking a lot longer to ship than they anticipated. I guess all the stores get first priority. MS had a deal where if you bought the Office 2004 before some date, you could get the MS 2008 for free. They also had a deal that if you bought Office 2004 before some other date, you'd get a 100 buck rebate. Amazon had the 2004 version for sale at 125 or so. I already have the Third World Country copy, as I mention before I prefer Office 2004, is much faster to open files in Excel, a 2.2 mb file takes around 30 seconds to open in Excel 2008 and only 8 seconds in Excel 2004. I also save this file in the new format and open it takes the same amount of time. <br><br><br>

They had a Black Friday sale, where not only do you get the free copy of Office 2008 for the $149 price of the Student Home edition, they gave a $100 rebate on that for one day.
