Yup, Dell Ultrasharp 24" here too - cost me about $700 at the time, so it might even be a lot less by now.

Topper - I played nothing but FPS games and I never saw an issue with timing or 'ghosting' - I can't speak for flight simulators however...

[color:purple]Work With ____!
The original UltraSharps used the same screen as the Apple Displays... not sure if that's still true... but I imagine it is.

The monitor I got my wife has a 2 ms response time.

If anything, Dell updates their displays' internals MORE often than Apple. Yearly--which Apple has not always done.

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net
Flt Sims would probably be the same.
I have heard that response time may not be as big an issue as it once was.
That is good to know, thank you.

I'm not sure why they left the pro users with MacPros out of the iChat/Webcam loop.

The Graphic Mac for your Mac and graphics news, tips and more.

Hey, you're not kidding. I'm pissed. I've bought 2 diff. brands if webcam since Christmas and returned both. Neither supported by macam unfortunately.

Yeah, Dell monitors are generally good, problem is their ultrasharp line used to be IPS panels, and now they've went to TN panels, which I don't want but might just have to settle on.

The 2007WFP even though it's a 20" would have been great, but you can't buy it anymore. Well you can, but the price is outrageous now ($500+)

I like the UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC, but didn't really want to spend $700.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. It's so damn hard to shop for an LCD nowadays, you can't ever find good honest specs.

Anyway if I do end up with a TN screen some of the Asus monitors look good. Heh, this is turning into an Asus/Coolermaster PC as every part except the CPU so far is ASUS or CoolerMaster!

Hey I'm an F'n Jerk!®

One big problem with Apple is they don't update their displays very often.
Rumors had it that there would be new ACDs at MWSF. But no.
Dell has a new 30" display (3008WFP) that is quite a bit better than the one in the review.
