Any suggestions for a 22" or 24" monitor?

Price isn't a huge issue, I want something better than a cheapo TN panel, but by the same token I believe cinema displays are grossly overpriced.

Hey I'm an F'n Jerk!®

As much as I hate the company, Dell makes excellent monitors.
For example, Dell's 30" monitor is generally considered better than Apple's 30" ACD.
In the 24" price range, Dell also gets good reviews.
Monitors that are good for gaming may not be as good for multimedia work and vice versa.
Here is a web site that compares monitors
NewEgg shows customer reviews of their monitors.

i have an Apple big screen (22" I think from 2001) and a Dell (20" i think) . . . my next replacement display will be from Dell. they're beautiful and the price can't be beat for the quality.

Just bought the wife a Dell 20" SP2008WFP that's pretty impressive. USB ports on the side and webcam also. The only drawback is that while it adjusts up/down there is no pivot so your stuck with the angle, which is decent enough though. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/produ...&lid=585550
The price has dropped considerably since Christmas... I think I paid about $250.00

That's what I am hearing from a lot of people.
If I were to buy right now, it would definitely be a large Dell LCD.
One stat I've got to look closely at is response time since I do some gaming.
When the time comes, I look at the reviews and then decide.

I love the Apple displays, but they're just too overpriced. My next LCD will most likely be a 24" Dell. I've just read too many good thing about them (the UltraSharp models ONLY) and the price is nearly unbeatable when you compare specs with other makers.

The Graphic Mac for your Mac and graphics news, tips and more.

I've researched a lot (didn't buy because I ended up with an iMac) and I too vote for Dell. They don't even look half bad. Specs are good, price is great, and reviews of quality are (for most models) very positive. I always recommend Dell displays.

nagr[color:red]omme

I require stroyent!
TeamMacOSX.com | MacClan.net

Dell. I absolutely love my Dell widescreen LCD. Also, I've heard that Dell uses many of the same components as the more expensive Apple monitors. I believe it. This monitor is beautiful and the price was right.

Screenshot

Edited by dreed2 on 01/16/08 09:22 PM (server time).
