First, watching Olbermann, I saw that Liberman is campaigning with McCain. And he's a democrat??

Second, heard first on Olbernann, but confirmed here: Huckabee wants to amend the Constitution to be in line with the Bible.

   

I think the biggest distinction between George W. Bush and Mike Huckabee is that the latter is just much more honest about his motivations and intentions. Take George W. Bush's stance on gay marriage. In his public statements and in answers during debates, he expressed some support for federal civil unions. That lukewarm position actually put him rhetorically in the same position as both men he campaigned against, Al Gore and John Kerry.

To cover for this, he also supported the proposed Constitutional amendment on marriage. While some would see those as hypocritical, the entire point of what he did was to pose on the moderate side with his statements during debates and wink to a more radical philosophy with substantive action.

With Huckabee, there is no posing and winking. He simply is what he is and he's not afraid to say it, no matter how weird it sounds. He's not George W. Bush. He's George W. Bush's id.

-- Charlie Alpha Roger Yankee Whiskey
Bush and gays ~ When he was governor down here, he was totally neutral, wouldn't come down on one side or the other. Rumor actually had it that in private, he was saying it was nobody's business and government needed to stay out of people's bedrooms. Not kidding.

Which only reinforces the notion that as president, he'll bend to whichever wind blows him.** Down here, it was mainly oil, gas and the energy companies doing all the blowing.

(**Ha! I knew could work in some decent punnage, and may I add, I think the vast and sad majority of pols are just as guilty of being blown.)

[color:blue]I always deserve it.
