Need to do invoicing and would like to download a program called iBiz which is a demo app. Have never downloaded a demo-first, other than the obvious, what does that mean, will it be changing soon or what. second, how safe are they?

It is safe. Demo means demonstration. It won't charge you, it'll either be crippled by watermark or something, or it'll stop working after a certain amount of days..usually 30.

my photos
Their site, http://www.iggsoftware.com/ibiz/ says:
Download
iBiz 3.1.9
(includes free
10-day trial)

So it's only good for 10 days. Other than that, I guess it's a full version. I would check, but I"m on my work computer.

my photos

With a demo, usually there's a few scenarios - you will NEVER be 'tricked' into buying the software, unless of course you have to enter a CC# number right off the bat, in which case I'd advise against using that particular app anyway...

Here's what can happen with a software demo (most of the time):

1. A window will appear upon startup with a little countdown timer. It will extol the virtues of buying the program, blah blah blah - when the timer reaches 'zero', you can use the app without any more intruding messages. Some shareware programs even allow you full use of the program forever, as long as you wait for the timer to countdown every time.

...or...

2. You will have full functionality of the program upon download, then when the trial period is up you will be locked out of the program and/or unable to use it at all. You should then get a message telling you to buy the program.

...or...

3. Some demos operate without messages or timers, but they have what's called 'limited functionality', which means you won't have access to all the program's menus or features. I've tried a few sound editing programs that had this - I could use basically anything in the application save for most of the sound filters. Which was fine, because I only needed something to edit down .wav files and .mp3's anyway.

Hope that helps!

[color:purple]Work With ____!
