well all I can say is that over Christmas when we were in Dallas TX the weather was in the 70s and bright and sunny... we didn't have 1 cold day out of the 10 we were there and this was the END of December !!

sure there may be cold snaps - they don't totally disappear and some may be more extreme, but overall, over time the environment IS getting warmer... globally ... not regionally and not short-term. Go look at the polar caps !

BTW I think that must have been a rainfall map... Atlanta showed 12 - we haven't been 12 all year !! ..so it must be referring to the drought = 12 " of rain !

your analogy is like taking one day you get 3" of rain and then saying geez we're gonna drown... 3" X 365 = 1100" of rain this year !!

the key here Matt is "Averages".
David (OFI)
Who's up for adopting Polar Bears floating around Lake Antarctica?

Did I tell you I'm leaving my house lights on non-stop in an effort to flood Manhattan?

***********************
[color:red]Nice Try

Long term check

Including 2007, seven of the eight warmest years on record have occurred since 2001 and the 10 warmest years have all occurred since 1997.

In other news gas jumped 15 cents overnight and will probably not go back down past $3 a gallon, Oil is $100 a barrel, and my electricity bill has went up nearly 400% in the past two years despite all the conservation measures I've taken, and despite making well more than twice what I made 7 years ago, I have less money in my pocket.

Tell your president nice job from all of us. I'll really enjoy it when I can pay $4, no $5.. hell, $6 a gallon!

Hey I'm an F'n Jerk!®

your explanation is perfect.... takes 3 jobs to make it.

and you DO have less in your pocket than you would if gas were $2 a gallon no matter how many jobs you have and no matter how much you make.

That said, I applaud your entrepreneurmanship.

David (OFI)
Because living in the UK with $7/gallon and "luxuary goods" paying in £ what you pay in $ is such a barrel of laughs.

I used to think it was terrible that life was unfair.
