Just tonight, while I was working on something, I got two error messages in a row (separated by about 20 minutes) that Time Machine had encountered some sort of error. At first I thought that since I was working on something and saving it frequently, that was the source of the error, but then I remembered that I'd been doing a lot of that in the last few days and had gotten no such error message. I did a disk repair on the Time Machine HD, and repaired permissions on my boot drive, and things have gone back to normal--although I don't know that doing those things was the fix. Anyone have similar issues?

   

From Macfixit;

you can get some idea of what Time Machine is up to - when it is performing backups, and how large each backup is - simply by looking at the Console. Open the Console (in the Utilities folder) and click "All Messages". Now type "backupd" (the name of the background process that does Time Machine's backing up) into the search field, and you'll see all and only the recent log messages from Time Machine.

------> JD's Trivia game

------> MCF-MM Trivia game
I haven't experienced anything negative about Time Machine yet, but there have been several users bitching about various bugs at places like the Apple forums (where all they do is bitch). Looking at MacRumors it seems that an update to Leopard, that includes multiple Time Machine fixes, is only days away. It might fix your bugaboo.
