I like what I see so far...

Of course I'm simple and shiny things do hold my attention. Like the three candy-like buttons in the upper left-hand corner of the window.

All of my critical apps works without a hitch.

The whole process of installation took a little over an hour and was uneventful.

M i c h a e l (OFI)
i couldn't wait for the finish and left to get a haircut. i returned just now and my screen was bluish-gray. i could move the mouse around, but nothing else worked. so, i just forced it to shut down and am restarting now. if the install finished then i won't be so worried, but my concern is that the install had problems and i wasn't here to address them and the computer just went to sleep.

starting up now and it's just returned to the same blueish-gray screen. hmmm. no good. i don't need this machine, but i was still hoping to play and to next upgrade my wife's machine. i have to get the install DVD out first. doh.

EDIT: started up with the option key held down and that allowed me to pick my computer and eject the DVD. still starts up into blueish-gray screen. not good.

Edited by FSM on 10/26/07 04:49 PM (server time).
