Hi everyone!<br><br>As there seems to be no way for me to get to a satellite that someone will let me point at the coordinates for the MacWorld Expo Keynote, I am looking to pay (we can do paypal if you like, or whatever) someone or compensate someone for a taped copy or digital copy (i.e. a DVD-R, that I of course would send one back in return, or pay for expenses and then some) of the BIG keynote. Yes, I know I can watch it streamed over the internet as I do for every keynote, but if this one is to be as big as Apple is making it out to be, I'm DEFINITELY gonna want this on tape!<br><br>If worse comes to worse, does anyone know how to save the keynote when you stream it? I think digital might not be the best approach. The Keynote is scheduled for 2.5 hours and that's more than capacity of DVD-R as I recall, although it would fit on DVD-RAM.<br><br>With QT Pro (not Standard) you can save a file as a movie but select your option to save carefully. I'm forever careless and wind up with an 8k file that merely links to the original on the Inet. .<br><br>But there's another problem with digital. A 2.5 hour QT movie, depending on viewing size, would be rather large. Again, depending on viewing size, it could run 100-200GB.<br><br>Personally, I'd find someone who wanted to make a few bucks who had a satellite dish, buy them a tape and offer them twenty bucks to tape it. <br><br>Not high tech, but 1TB FireWire drives are still a bit expensive. <br><br>(Hint: Know anyone who works in a local sports bar?)<br><br>128k_Mac<br><br>The box said "Requires Microsoft Windows or better" so I bought a Macintosh. :rolleyes:<P ID="edit"><FONT SIZE=-1><EM>Edited by 128K_Mac on 01/06/02 04:55 AM (server time).</EM></FONT></P>
