In iTunes I have just over 1,000. But I have more records, tapes, and CDs than I can count. In fact, just to prove how up to date I am, just yesterday I bought a new turntable. I don't know about songs, but I have about 850 albums now. Nearly all are in mp3 format and backed up on approximately 75 CDs.

When DVDs become a little cheaper (and more reliable) I'll transfer all of them to DVDs and all 850 will fit on just a little over 10 discs. Aren't computers grand?

So far, I've got 1,902 songs (5.7 days worth) on my iPod and in iTunes. I still need to go through my CD collection and rip the music I want to carry with me that wasn't in my CD changer, which I already went through.
