I don't know about songs, but I have about 850 albums now. Nearly all are in mp3 format and backed up on approximately 75 CDs.

When DVDs become a little cheaper (and more reliable) I'll transfer all of them to DVDs and all 850 will fit on just a little over 10 discs. Aren't computers grand?

So far, I've got 1,902 songs (5.7 days worth) on my iPod and in iTunes. I still need to go through my CD collection and rip the music I want to carry with me that wasn't in my CD changer, which I already went through.

about 30 cds of pure mp3s as backup or the package that goes with me while travellign.. oh, 2 more to backup from HD now...
but about all the genres, from metallica to classical and from moldern african to japanese traditional, south american to irish.. and i guess i'lll love and use all those even more when in US; in UK most music i could find was in english and that's not always what i want.. i dont care always if i dont understand japanese, turkish, some african etc languages, the music still can sound good.. hm, maybe i should do a playlist? of all those :)

Giaguara
