I'd still be curious to see the results with the drive(s) in a FW enclosure or tower. MacIntels can use USB to boot, but this Apple page says that "Beginning with the Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) and the iMac (Slot-Loading), two new features to USB are most apparent: support for USB audio devices and booting from USB drives." It was new to me when I found it two weeks ago. <br><br>
