I have seen Jag as low as $68 on the internet. Not sure though where that was. Check dealmac.com, might find a low price on Jag there and information on who has it for a good price. Or, try pricegrabber.com and do a search for OS X to find the lowest price. Good luck Bird. I am sure folks here will be glad to help you out. I will be in Europe starting Friday, so no help from me for now.

Have fun, hope you get a chance to meet up with some of our forum friends too!! This should all be done when you get back, and if I,m not posting well then I screwed up, big time . Take some great pictures. You have been a big help to me already, time for a break!! Enjoy!!

[color:green]Happy Holidays [color:green]

We hope to see Krasni (Ana) and her husband over there. Good luck with everything, I am sure it will be fine. The $68 OS X is gone, I can't find it anymore. The cheapest I found is about $95 now.

Bird,
I agree...a fresh clean install is the best way to go if you have the CD for every app you have.

I am thinking of re-doing my HD's and putting classic on the firewire one just to have it. So I'm waiting and debating. When you get yours, I may just do it alongside you and help you. OR, I could do it before you and then take pictures along the way to help illustrate it for you.

Whichever...if you do the clean install, OS9 will be wiped off. If you do want OS9/Classic on there, you will have to install that first, then OSX, unless it is true that you can drag the system folder off...but that's for another discussion, don't want to confuse you.

Let us know when you get it!

[color:red]Don't make me open this on you!
I hope so too. I'll bring some Spanish ham so you could see you're losing the gist of the life. The problem is once you've tasted it it's impossible to come back to the normal ham without missing the "good" one.

We have great (smoked and not) hams of all sorts in Germany too, I know what you mean. American ham generally sucks. Hope to try some of your Spanish variety. I am already salivating! I like proscuitto too. German varieties are for example Westphalian ham, Bauernschinken, etc. All very delicious. My dad came from a family of butchers.

I think I see a combination ham and banana thread developing. That could be very ugly. Glad I am leaving the country in 2 days.
