How long does it take a 95 mph fast ball to go from release by the pitcher to contact (or not) with the bat?

.4 of a second.

I'm used to being pretty much alone in fora land with my love of the game. But I live in Houston, and I'm never alone loving my Astros. It's all good.

Well, except losing last night, because our snake bit closer, Brad Lidge, lost our two run lead and the game, top of the ninth with two outs. If I had his figurine, I'd rip it into little pieces and put it down the disposal. If I had his bobble head doll, I'd rip off the head and let my dogs play catch. First opener we've lost in six years.

[color:blue]Just push play ~ Theyre gonna bleep it anyway ~

Well, he and the catcher are playing catch.

Coming from the middle of America we have rodeo. Now that is something else entirely. Still boring. You have the bronc/bull riding and each action last no more than 8 seconds.

dave

I love baseball too, but you do realize that this is a 5 year old thread? grin

If it was at the top you must have accidentally clicked something to sort the forum that way. No harm, just seeing some old names in the list gave me a flashback. cool

I still think its boring. But it's much better today with all the production the use and watching it on a HD tv

Actuall, it was just a month from this post backin '07 that I got my first HD tv.

Well, if it's National League, yes, it is.

American League? D.Fckn'.H. Nuff said.

Yep, I'm bitter about the forced move down here.

And nope, I can't believe we're in a thread that's ?? years old laugh Next time I'm looking for a truly satisfying waste of valuable time? I reeely want to try this magic trick. I still don't understand how it's done, though.
