I'm staying with a friend in New Orleans for Carnival/Mardi Gras, and I seem to be having trouble getting my iBook onto his network. Actually, I'm on his network, and i even have a green "You are connected to the internet via Airport" message, but still no internet. What gives? I've even had to go so far as to connect to his router manually. It was really scary, like using Windows or something!

I'd really like it if I could get online so I can upload my photos to my work's FTP server and free up a couple of cards. Although I guess it doesn't matter, as both of my batteries are dead.

Yes, he's got WEP, and I've got it in my keychain. I didn't try it hardwired, as it's kind of hard to get to. It's a Westell Versalink 327w. Thanks!

Dam we need topless Mardi Gras photos.

Only other thing I can think of without knowing more is it may be an 802.11g router and you have an 802.11b Airport Card.
