I can only assume (and I hope that assumption is incorrect) that Stan cannot tolerate the liberal views that are posted here and is willing to take the draconian measure of silencing them for good. And to think the Lounge regulars will tolerate anything remotely controversial (reason we're relegated to this place), is just pure fantasy. <br><br>

Well I'd love to jump in that forum, ...<br><br>but I think many of the conservative members of this forum (who left) were really radical and some inflamatory. I have some conservative political belifs too in some areas (like fiscal), but these guys were right of Atilla the Hun. I don't mind serious discussion, but many of those that left were childish (socks) and insulting.<br><br>I have no problem arguing troop levels with someone.... NO 0ne can say it won't work and no one can say it wil, until 6-12 moinths from now... but the probability is heavily in favor of it NOT working. IMO. .. again rational discussion is needed and not some flaming sock puppets who claimed all who questioed Bush in 2002 were unpatriotic and favored terrorists. Bummer, Stan. Guess I don't see the reasoning behind your decision either. But, your forum, and your decision. I'd sure hate to see the Soapbox removed but I'll still probably hang here for the friends in the lounge.<br><br>A thought of my own: I use to dislike a certain two people getting into entanglements all the time. But lately, even those two, still here in the Soapbox, have avoided really harsh confrontations lately. I like them both so it made me feel good to see them not at each other so frequently.<br><br>I believe the 'sides' of discussions are a bit lopsided. So many conservatives left. But then, some not of their own volition.<br><br>It is almost time for another election. Things undoubtedly would heat up around here.
