Welllllllll... maybe not in the home. But there are a growing number of Macs in the corporate sector (and not necessarily in just art departments), and Office is still nearly ubiquitous. Keynote never really took the presentation creation market away from PowerPoint (sad to say), and a lot of companies prefer Entourage over Mail and iCal because of better integration with Exchange. I think Office is still a pretty big cog.

I think an iWork spreadsheet app would help the cause, and I gotta agree on Entourage - works better than the combo of Mail and iCal. And believe me, I gave it a good shot here at work...

iCal works with Exchange, but not without some quirks. If someone emails me a meeting notice via Exchange, the event is automatically entered in iCal. But sometimes the event time will be off by as much as 4 or 5 hours (the diff btwn EST and GMT, and depending on whether or not DST is in effect). Or if the time in iCal is correct, iSync will drop it into my Palm with that 4 or 5 hour discrepancy. Makes me !

Is it possible to have Entourage sync calendars and phone numbers over Bluetooth with my phone? The iCal Address Book combination is a bit clunky, but I couldn't get Entourage to work for me. I also couldn't find a way to get all of my Apple apps' info into Entourage.

/didn't try all that hard
