Putting on the Pounds... Conscientious editors are now using photoshop to add pounds on supermodels who show up to photo shoots looking gaunt.

I hope the video plays without problems. It's an H.264-encoded QT movie that measures 800 x 937. I love this codec. It gives me decent compression on large files.

M i c h a e l (OFI)

I saw a story about that as well. I'd have to say that in this little time-lapse movie it looks more like the final product is the real one and they used photoshop to make her look super-skinny, no?

Well, as a matter of fact, that's exactly what I did.

M i c h a e l (OFI)

Super models aren't that thin. That's ridiculous. I never Photshopped a super model but, I remember on one poster for a woman's clothing chain store (may have been Talbots. It was a while ago) they had me fix her knees. I've had to the take the face from one photo shoot and put it on a model in a different photo shoot (not the head mind you. just the face) but having to fix a model's knees was just too weird. Although in their defense she was beautiful but, had ugly knees.

I once had to do a breast reduction on a model for a series of AT&T brochures. The client felt that the model's boobs were too much of a distraction — despite the fact that no cleavage was present in any of the shots, and in most, the talent was in a business suit or an overcoat! The same nut-bar nixxed a shot of a middle-aged couple — cast as the owners of a B&B — because her hand was on his hand, and they're foreheads were touching! Filth. FILTH, I say!!!

Boobs are *always* a distraction. The war in Iraq would end tomorrow if a group of ample-bosomed women ran topless through the streets of Baghdad on a daily basis.
