I want the 2nd one... The ability to run other operating systems compiled for Intel without needing to reboot or buy apps like Parallels.

www.waleedsgallery.biz
I've got parallels, bought it when it was beta. Sadly, I haven't had any time to really use it - I have two PCs with Windows already and it's just easier to roll my office chair to the other machines for the moment. :)

Parallels is great, worth the price. Now if only a legit copy of Windows was affordable. I have Windows 2000 and two Linux distros on Parallels, but haven't put XP on Parallels or boot camp yet - XP is just to darn expensive.

If only Parallels would come with a OEM copy of XP - that would rock! Hey Apple, if you bought Parallels, please OEM a copy of XP with it! :D

I only need windows to access my bank's website.. So far, Windows 95 has been doing a good job, sluggish in VPC6 but still works.. When I get me an Intel based Mac, I'll first try Darwine and if it fails, I'll go for Parallels.

www.waleedsgallery.biz
You're brave to do banking via Windows. Luckily, all the banks I've used this century have web based access. So using Safari is no problem.
Coherence is a nice feature in that you Mac looks and acts exactly like a PC but at the same time your dock and everything OS X is right there. The big draw back is the same old draw back Parallels has had all along it doesn't share memory. So you really can't keep Parallels running all the time without essentially cutting your RAM in half.

My bets are...

1. New (or significantly changed) Finder
2. No idea
3. No idea

Although I do think we will see a different looking UI too. More like the new iTunes.

"1. New (or significantly changed) Finder"

My bets are if the Finder is fixed Steve will say - "This is the best thing we've ever made" and make it sound like the best innovation since OS X itself.

Oh I do the banking through the bank's website, but it's not based on industry standards.. I can view everything under Mac OS X, but any transaction (paying bills, transfer between accounts, ... etc) requires a windows environment.

www.waleedsgallery.biz
sometime ago there was some rumors about ZFS and the Linux kernel into Leopard. Also, the rumor about mounting all the user preferences and documents into an iPod or portable drive ....

my guess the top secret feature is a new finder and also the metal brush GUI gone.

I wish for a preference icon that controls the default apps... rigth know, the default apps are control inside apple applications, like safari

----
:) "In my experience, there's no such thing as luck." - Obi-Wan Kenobi
