I saw on the news that because he used the "N" word, many African Americans were offended.. Why? I thought it was about the person's country "Niger" or "Nigeria", where they were originally abducted.

Excuse me for asking such a question, but I don't know the origin of the offensive word.

www.waleedsgallery.biz
Thanks for the link..
Dear God, now I know.. It's so shallow to categorize people based on things out of their control, and to undermine a God given feature and turn it to something offensive, that's brutal.. Psychologically very mean..

As an Arab, I've been called many names: rag head, camel jockey, ... etc but I never consider them of any value.. They're just words that a person decided to throw at me to provoke an action.. Words are just exhaled air..

www.waleedsgallery.biz
Well yes, words are just exhaled air, but when the air comes accompanied with social power and authority, as it certainly did in the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries in the US and possibly still does, the result is more like a hurricane.

____________________________________________________
Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive,
But to be young was very heaven!
