I have been receiving emails and PMs suggesting that I come over to MacMinute and look at the threads on sock puppets. Because the multiple episodes of sockpuppetry that singled me out were quite painful, I chose not to come over here. But someone suggested that I needed to read something that Jonnycat wrote about me. Indeed, I'm glad I did, because this is not going to get past me.

Jonnycat, you are once again slandering me while deceiving others. In another thread you state:

In reply to:

MarkRoberts has a history behind the creation. Shooshie and I used to frequently butt heads about politics (in fact it was non stop) at MCF. It was heated sometimes but for the most part healthy debate - at least that's what I thought. Then he starts sending emails to my wife MrsJonnyCat (who also participated but not in politics) about how he's concerned about me and my mental health, followed by emails that question her if she should be married to an unstable person. So my wife and I decided it's probably best to stop participating.

This never happened.

Ginny and I did exchange somewhere between 6 and 8 personal messages at MacCentral, but they were about a particular topic. I had posted something in the forum about rent controls in New York City. Ginny, apparently, was actually studying this subject in a course she was taking in college at the time (I presume). She sent me a PM on the subject. We had a few great exchanges on that subject, and on the subject of art--something which interests us both quite a lot. Only one time did the conversation drift over to events that were happening in the forum at that time. My one and ONLY mention of Hagen went exactly like this (quoted from the PM to Ginny, which I still have saved):

In reply to:

Hagen has actually been good for me. I consider him a very intelligent person who can think his way around a problem even when he is not familiar with all the information, so he provides me with balance. I may argue with him at times, even slap him when he gets silly but in the end I feel that I come away from such dialogues the beneficiary.

Sorry to disappoint you, Jonnycat, but that was the only time I can find any mention of you, and nothing about being married to you. I save 100% of my PMs, so I can be pretty certain there were no others.

As far as email? In none of the PMs did Ginny give me her email address, nor did I give her mine, so I don't think that would have been possible. I checked my archives, just in case, but found nothing. Again, I save 100% of my emails, so if it was there, I'd have it.

The tone of our letters was totally positive. I thoroughly enjoyed talking to Ginny. The exchanges all took place before any sock puppet episode, and to my knowledge I never have spoken to Ginny since then, though I don't hold Hagen's actions against her. Even if I HAD questioned how she could be married to Hagen, or questioned his mental health, I would never have said such a thing to Ginny. In fact, up to the last time I talked to Ginny, I actually believed Hagen was a friend--though a very argumentative one. He became more and more abusive in his language toward me, however, and then we stopped communicating about the time he took on alter-egos from which to attack me anonymously.

So, Hagen, I don't know why you chose to write what you wrote, but just for the record, it's not true. Like your many, many denials claiming that you were not the puppeteer behind "Mark Roberts," and your many denials concerning other things, this is yet another action on your part to attempt to defame me. To this day I do not know what has made you behave this way or say the things you say about me. I have stayed away from MacMinute simply because I do not want to be in your presence. You're just a little too interested in my life, and not in a positive way. After all you have done, I do not consider you a friend in any sense. Considering the quote above to Ginny, which was sincere and honest at the time, I consider that a terrible misfortune.

By the way, you would you like to hear what Ginny had to say about you? Under the circumstances, I don't think it is out of line, nor that Ginny would mind my quoting her:

In reply to:

By the way, Hagen really likes you and gets a lot out of reading your posts also. He is a very smart guy, most people on the board seem to be very intelligent. It must be a trait of Mac users! Only those with higher intelligence would choose an Apple. hee, hee.

So, what changed you, Hagen?

To everyone: my real name is Mark Roberts. Hagen created his sock puppet using my real name, which at that time was only known to close friends in the forum. He emblazoned his posts with patriotic pictures--eagles and flags--which people know is unlike me. Though I have flags in my house, I do not wear them on my sleeve, so to speak. Then he (Mark Roberts) asked me in a private message if I would allow him to store his images on my dot-Mac account. I refused, suspecting Hagen to be behind it, seeking the ultimate irony.

So, here we have a guy who turns out to be a pathological liar. He has to create anonymous personae to contain the many lies he wishes to tell. He goes about trying to cause people harm, or in his own words "torturing" his victims, and now he wishes to call it all a joke. But he tries to justify his "joke" by telling further lies about ME.

I've avoided this place precisely to keep from getting embroiled in any more of these issues with JC and others who find reasons to slander me anonymously. Now, it appears that JC thinks that since he has consistently trashed me in public over the past few years, his credibility is much higher than mine, so he will easily be able to mislead you with this story about my "emailing" his wife. I've given you all the information I have. You be the judge.

Thank you for reading. I will now return to my preferred forum and leave you in peace. But I could not let such a slanderous accusation pass without responding.

Shooshie

[color:green]Pictures and things
I knew nothing about all this.

Gaaaa I'm getting to hate puppets
more and more as time goes on.

I for one, wish you wouldn't go.
You're one of the people that
I miss the most here. I was
hoping very much that you'd
choose to return to MM so I
could enjoy reading your posts
again.

Gabriel
I gotta say, you just don't know when to let go. Rather than laugh at the fact that the sock-puppets that you claim torture you have finally been "outted" - you decide to stir up a pot of fresh bu||[censored] with a post like that.

And you wonder why people enjoy inflicting this "pain" on you.... it's just so damned easy for them.

CreativeGuy for daily tips, tricks and commentary on all things graphic design.

In my opinion, Shooshie didn't stir the pot, the new moderator did. Jonnycat made some serious accusations against Shooshie and letting those slide by with no rebuttal would be the same as admitting they were true. Now at least people can read both sides of the story and make up their own minds. Go back and read JC's post about Shooshie. If he had said those things about you, would you just let it go?

No, JC, I don't think you have to take my word over your wife's. I think your wife never told you anything of a sort. I think you're just flat-out lying. Let's face it: you have a long history of that at this point, more of which has recently been "outed."

Shooshie

[color:green]Pictures and things

You're pretty silly if you think setting the record straight on a matter that serious is "stirring the pot."

If I were to call you a stupid S.O.B., would you be able to demonstrate this integrity of "not stirring the pot" by refusing to answer or acknowledge my post in any way? If you stir the pot by answering, then I certainly can stir the pot by defending myself. In fact, I can defend myself no matter what anyone else thinks, including you.

Shooshie
[edited out some over-emotional romanticizing]

[color:green]Pictures and things
Edited by Shooshie on 11/12/06 09:13 PM (server time).
