What's going on in the middle-east right now is about as scarry as it gets. Being that my wife is pregnant, I find myself worrying about the world my kid is going to grow up in.<br><br>

it won't be a world war III if that's what you're worried about. <br><br>we're the military superpower in the world and no other highly industrialized country is going to side against us if the violence escalates and we take a side (obviously, with israel). fortunately, or unfortunately, we are stretched so thin b/c of iraq that we can't be of much use to any kind of war anyway. this is a regionalized conflict that will remain as such. our gas prices could end up being hurt, but there is little chance of violence erupting here that wasn't already in the works before the current skirmishes around israel. <br><br>--<br>"I am mindful that diversity is one of the strengths of the country" --president bush on 9/27/05
