that's odd . . . your link was to DC comics, which you'd sort of expect -- but they only provide a snippet. to get the whole batty story, they send you to out.com.

--
"I am mindful that diversity is one of the strengths of the country" --president bush on 9/27/05
Next would be - Batman and Robin the Gay Duo - sadly
Now its Batwoman a hot gal - the gal next door thingy. Sweet and wholesome but frigging now a lesbo.

I can see trends changing to a point - but I don't think "kids" need to read about in comic books ? more so at those early ages

Most 'kids' know who they fancy by the time they're old enough to fancy people - the more they're shown that it's okay whichever way they swing, the more confident they will be in themselves, and so the less vulnerable to being taken advantage of by adults (and to put that in context, over 90% of the men & women who sexually abuse children are heterosexual). If Marvel/DC/the world had been telling it like it sometimes is when I was a teenager, I'd have had a much happier teenage. Comics have been shoving hetero sex/romance in kids' faces for half a century, but I don't hear any complaints about that, from either the 'kids' or the 'adults'.

- padmavyuha

[color:purple]A lopsided man runs best along the little side-hills of success
- Frank Moore Colby

i guess i never paid much attention to the sexual undertones (beyond superman and lois lane's sexual tension stuff). do most comic book characters "act" heterosexual?

--
"I am mindful that diversity is one of the strengths of the country" --president bush on 9/27/05
