Rove Informs White House He Will Be Indicted

[color:blue] Late Thursday afternoon and early Friday morning, several White House officials were bracing for the possibility that Fitzgerald would call a news conference and announce a Rove indictment today following the prosecutor's meeting with the grand jury this morning. However, sources close to the probe said that is unlikely to happen, despite the fact that Fitzgerald has already presented the grand jury with a list of charges against Rove. If an indictment is returned by the grand jury, it will be filed under seal.

Is that the prancing of little reindeer I hear on the roof, or a grand jury returning an indictement? I ran into this link over at News Hounds ~ We Watch FOX So You Don't Have To. I especially enjoyed their take on it:

[color:blue] If they're [FOX] going to spend the whole weekend speculating and building up to Bush's promised "news" to be announced Monday night re immigration policies, they will also have to speculate and build up this story - to be fair and balanced.

Man, this night crawlin' the web sure can be fun. Oh, and please don't call me before lunch.

[color:blue]Silk suit, black tie, I donít need a reason why.
I could've sworn they said the same thing a week or two ago, and it obviously didn't happen. Truthout.org, that is.

Hmmm... I guess we'll see soon enough. I'll leave a couple cookies and some milk out, but I'm not staying up.

I really should have included a "consider the source" disclaimer ~ but ~ I'm getting . . . very . . . very . . . sleepy . . . must hang stocking . . .

[color:blue]Silk suit, black tie, I donít need a reason why.
And considering your Tony thread, we might even be getting snow on Christmas! It's just not the same without Bryan mock such events. Almost miss him. Must have got a girlfriend or something.

We are what we repeatedly do. -Aristotle

If Rove is indicted, look for lots more "indict a ham sandwich" from Rush and Ann. It won't be Christmas because it will stir up the far right and I expect they will band together for Rove much for than they did for Libby. The stakes are higher. Now most Republicans are mad at Bush, this will give them a cause to rally around.

Mmmmm, maybe not. I saw Coulter on Real Time last year and she said she hoped Rove would be indicted. I was surprised, but she didn't elaborate, so I can't either.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GOP were to see Rove's departure as an opportunity to put some "house cleaning" spin into play. Sure, Rush, O'Riely, Hanniy, Malkin and ilk would scream bloody murder, but that's the only way they can get anybody to listen.

Reasonable conservatives should be glad to see the "Willie B. Indicted" cloud finally come to a head, although there's liable to be some nasty blowback.

Bush welcomes probe of CIA leak

[color:blue] "If there's a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is," Bush told reporters at an impromptu news conference during a fund-raising stop in Chicago, Illinois.
