I'd vote for a Gore-Clinton Ticket, without reservation.

What's wrong with bringing back a highly successful
team? (Same Thing ~ Only Different) Al Gore as Pres.
with Hilary Clinton as VP.

If they manage to get us out of the corner that the
Pin-Head painted us into, she may even get my vote
for Presidency in 2012 (((((...or 2016...)))))

Personally, I don't have a problem with most woman
and I have nothing whatsoever against Hilary Clinton.
I think she was one smart cookie, and a good match
for "Slick Willy". I don't believe I'm wrong about her
having a LOT of influence on a LOT of decisions made
during the Clinton Years, ...and I seem to detect the
fingerprints of VP Al Gore on many of the domestic
& diplomatic decisions made during the same time.

Personally, I don't believe the United States is ready
yet for a female President, (not that a woman couldn't
do the job, actually there are more than a few female
heads of state worldwide, but I think there is still too
much bias against them here)and most particularly in
the midst of a war (with a few more on the horizon,
if we can't undo a lot of the harm that's already been
done by the present administration PDQ!!!)

As far as famous "Plan" that the Democrats are being accused of not having.

EXCUSE ME BUT

Just when the duce are they going to start pointing out that things were
perfectly fine until Zippy the Chimp put his trainers in charge?

WHAT THE HELL WAS HIS/THEIR PLAN?????????

To allow Halibuten to gain a no-bid contract to build a pipeline through
Afghanistan as soon as Bin Laden put a end to the COLD WAR, so DICK
could start syphoning out the Caspian Sea Oil Reserve before anyone
could stop him?

Or to Start a war, when Osama DID try to stop them?
or EXPAND their hold on the Middle Eastern Oils Supply by any means
at their disposal? Or to make a Bald-Face "TAKE-OVER" of the World?
etc etc etc etc etc etc

ANYHOW:

Why the Hell
aren't the Democrats asking why they should be ridiculed for not having
some preconceived "PLAN" to UNSCRAMBLE EGGS That the REPUBLICANS
BROKE IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE?

Plan? Howzis:
#1 Stop Allowing Yourselves to Be "PLAYED"!
#2 Stop the "In-Fighting" the Rep are in lock step, and we're slamming
each other for not having the "PLAN" that the Republicans are DEMANDING.
(see # 1)
#3 STOP HELPING The NeoCONS by becoming NeoCONVERTS! (see #2)
#4 The PLAN? How about WINNING, and then turning over the people most
responsible for bankrupting not only OUR Treasury, but that of Iraq as well
and shaking them violently until every penny drops back out of their pocket
(seriously: seizing their personal, family, & corporate fortunes, and using it
to begin reparations on the damage done in BOTH countries) then handing
over the SoBs that got us into this hole, to the enemy for any form of
justice they see fit. (Whether that be beheading/and or torture, left in some
"oubliette" just outside of Baghdad, or (wouldn't it be something) if the
Muslims were more benevolent than I am, and actually forgave the bastards?

LOL Sounds like a "PLAN" to Me!

(In any case, the NEXT SoBs will definitely think twice, nay THRICE before
daring to ever do this [censored] to our magnificent country, that was once the
JEWEL on the Face of the Earth, the epitome of democracy & fair-play,
Trusted to defend any weaker country in need, defender of the Peace.

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!

Bingo! Ol' Hillary is little more than another "Hey, s/he ain't Bush so what's not to like". IMHO she's as manipulative, power hungry, and out of touch with the average schmo as Bush or any other politico. And Gore? Well, he didn't have the Chutzpah to really go toe-to-toe with the Repubs then, and I don't see that he's got it now.

We gotta get past this "anybody but Bush" mindset and focus on anybody who has a real plan and the resources and ability to put it in play.

I've been more or less neutral on Hillary... not hating her, but no enthusiasm for her either... actually a little on the '—' side. I do not want to see her run as the Dem candidate in 2008... we'll get another GOP 'loser' for sure (but not Jeb- too early).

That little stunt with Rupert Murdoch yesterday made her drop about 5 notches in my book. ANYone that'd associate with that manipulative sleezeball doesn't deserve to be supported!

So the good news in my book is as time goes on - Hillary is doing things to lose support of many progressives.

David (OFI)
I think she's ever mindful of not being seen as an extremist
But she really lost me back when she lost her focus on the
VOTER REFORM ISSUE directly after the '04 Election. So far,
...I've yet to see anyone pick up that baton and run with it.

As far as Gore goes:
I watched the hearing that as VP he was forced to preside
over. What went down was that he doggedly adhered to
the letter of the law. To have whined and complained, and
accused, or demand that the recounts continue would've
displeased every one as well. so rather than hurt the Party,
he simply and gracefully stepped aside, as had Ross Perot,
and John Kerry when it was up to them.

I am convinced that all of the current turmoil in the Middle East could have been avoided by more vigorously supporting the Shah. But the US chose to let him hang out to dry and let Islamic radicalism get a foot hold. Now we have to deal with the mess that we allowed.

Edited by mojo_jojo on 05/11/06 04:55 PM (server time).

That's the same thing I thought when the Soviet Union closed up shop:
That it would"pennies on the dollar" to give these people a hand at LEAST
through their first winter, until they got their feet back under them.

I don't think it would have been forgotten, had we helped them without
trying to make a buck on them. I think it would have went a long way
to have proven that the American "Capitalists" weren't the arseholes that
their Government propaganda had been telling them we were.

Let's just say that Haliburten's greed won't be forgotten either.

I realize that it's nearly impossible to wrap ones' head around, ...but...
Things have a way of turning around... If Global Warming changes the climate
as much as predicted, The Former Soviet Union may on day be the new
"Bread Basket" and it may be us coming to them, hat in hand.

That's like saying that all the problems in Latin America would have been solved had the US vigorously "supported" Batista. What business did the US have in deposing Mossadegh in the first place? The result of that kind of intrusion into the internal affairs of other countries is precisely what we're reaping now.

. . . . . Here's lookin' at [color:red]you kid.
