I voted for Moore and being Brittish I think I am qualified to decide . Anyway Brosnan maybe allright in the role but the new bond films suck bigtime compared to the old ones. As for Sean Connery he is Scottish (not that i've got anything against Scots in terms of Geneology I am mostly Scottish) and IMO it doesn't work with him as bond.

"I'd hate to die twice. Pierce does a pretty good job of playing the role too, but to me Connery is just the classic 007. Perhaps it was also that the older 007 movies were better than some of the newer ones. For a little escapist fantasy these movies are fine now and then. Not my favorite genre though by any means.

No.. I don't think Moore is a good actor... at all. But then, I also don't think Sean Connery is that great either. He did a fine job in Bond, but I still think Brosnan is better.

The fact that Moore starred in movies with more stunts, I think it's just a sign of the times - there are even more stunts now, but it doesn't necessarily make the movies better (although, I must admit, I'm like you - I prefer the action!)

[color:red] Kiss My Banana!
Visit me here!

I think Connery is a somewhat better actor than Brosnan. But, neither of them is in the leagues of the truly great actors of our times.

Anyone else think Halle Berry's ears are big? They seem so long!

I agree with you! Moore had more stunts & babes... just what I was looking for as a teenager! Moore was a campy Bond but I think he fit the times perfectly. I like Sean Connery, Roger Moore & of late Pierce...
I did not find that Timothy Dalton was all that exciting in the role of Bond...

My personal favorite is Sean Connery. The innuendos were subtle, the babes were real and the effects were cool.
Now, the innuendos are "in your face," the babes are sort of pasticy and the effects are cool, but sort of digital. Not that it's bad or anything, but there is a certain depth that has given way to gimmicks.
The new ones are well done, but leave nothing to the imagination. Of course, I still love Ray Harryhousen movies.
