Just a question in case you come by here some time. Do the B&G folks at your shop mow the lawn, blow leaves, vacuum the grass, and generally make a godawful noise during classroom hours so you can't hear what's going on in your classroom?

Just doing a comparative survey.

Great wits are sure to madness near allied.--John Dryden, "Absalom and Achitophel"

interesting that you bring this up because...each year a campus is awarded "the most beautiful campus" (taking into large account -- the landscaping, etc.). past winners have included: Duke, university of missouri, etc. this year, the most beautiful campus is (drumroll please) Grand Valley State University (a public university in michigan -- i happen to teach there). i teach mostly late afternoon and evening classes so i haven't noticed the B&G folk, but i'd say they have to be doing an awful lot of mowing and landscaping to have won the award. here's the link

dorms

more like town homes

lirbary is automated...you want a book, you send "spot" the robot to get it and bring it to you

i teach here just behind and below the clock tower

my office is located on the top floor here

[color:blue] -sean
heh heh...that's pretty funny. leaf blowers eh? i guess it is that time of year...speaking of football season...grand valley state university (my campus again) is the #1 ranked and undefeated team heading into the division II playoffs this year. we were the runner ups last year. i almost went to a game, but then realized...hey, this is division II...who cares? ;-) (i just love changing the subject on you).

i hope your web venture to stop the leaf blowers is a success.

[color:blue] -sean
