Fun with DNA

Imagine a yellow smiley face. Now imagine 50 billion smiley faces floating in a single drop of water. That's what scientists have made using a new technique for building super-tiny shapes using the familiar double helix of DNA.

See this is what they waste money on. Finding ways to put 50 billion smiley faces on water. Well I for one don't need smiley faces on my water thank you very much. I'm writing my senator right now!

[color:purple] st911.org

One must crawl before they can walk grass hopper.
What scares me is that one day someone will make a monster thats live.
On the other hand if they create "replicas" = blade runner type then I would be all for it

There is a use. Think of a cage of DNa stapled together with a potent toxin captured inside. The outside rungs of the cage encode for DNA which is homologous to a strand of DNA which has gone haywire and is replicating to initiate a mechanism which causes cancer, (I'm cramming a lot of steps into a wee space here to keep from writing a tome.) So this cage then targets specifically the DNA which needs to be inhibited.

Someone in my institute is using this technique. It works. The smiley faces are just gravy on the side.

(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)

Oh I got you sarcasm. I just couldn't miss the opportunity to pontificate on my favorite subject.

(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)(__*__)
