" Bush: I'm worried by message sent by failed port deal"...

yeah that's terrible...

but it sure was nice to invade one of their countries,

put Arabs on leashes,

and make them masterbate on one another..

THAT sends a very strong, positive message..

what were those Fsckheads in Congress thinking of cancelling this "done deal" and sending a bad message to Arabs in the Middle east??
- partly stolen from Bill Maher.

in other good news...
In reply to:

lastly the GOP has about given up on Bush and are looking to 2008 ! I thought that was the Dems job !!

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean said. "Over the last decade, we've found a reliably losing formula, and we're sticking with it." Dean reminded Democratic candidates to "stay on our unclear message, maintain a defensive, reactive posture, and keep an elitist distance from voters."

Political consultant and Democratic operative James Carville said that, if properly disseminated, the message of hopelessness could be the Democrats' most effective in more than a decade.

"For the first time in a long time, we're really connecting with the American people, who are also feeling hopeless," Carville said. "If we can harness that and run on it in '08, I believe we can finish a strong second."

Joe Klein of Time Magazine, "Democrats...they never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity."

The media is pushing the GOP meme in not-so-subtle ways, TPM found:

"The headline is for an AP story in which RNC honcho Ken Mehlman 'indicts' the Democrats for having no message."

The Democrats deserve it.
How can they sit back, do or say nothing about important issues?
There is no fight in them.
Senators Kerry and Kennedy wanted to filibuster the nomination of Alito to the Supreme Court. They got very little support.
The DPW Ports Deal is the first time that they've shown a little bit of righteous indignation.
"Democrats never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity."

Good article, by the way. Unfortunately it is probably closer to the truth than we want to hear.

In reply to:

The Democrats deserve it.
How can they sit back, do or say nothing about important issues?
There is no fight in them.

well that could be the case ...

and then maybe it's not.

What's the first thing the Neos wlll do once the Dems speak up ?

try to "swiftboat" everything they say...

Maybe the Dems for once are going to have some "timing" !

Why hurry - Wait until late August or September.
Give the Rove-Neos less time to spin and lie.

either way I wouldn't come out now anyway !
Why do anything ?
Bush is shooting himself in the foot every week...
sit back , relax, enjoy the demolition and fireworks!

David (OFI)
well let's hope they put an "old guard" person in there.
Congress has less approval than Bush... they're running 66-70% disapprove... but Bush is coming up on the inside, closing fast with 60% !!

David (OFI)
OMG, Frist.
Good ol' flip flop Frist.
I want to see the Democrats beat him unmerifully.

His dealings with the Terri Schiavo case were amazing to say the least.
Did you know that Frist is a heart surgeon?
Anyway, Frist went to the Senate floor to argue that Florida doctors had erred in saying Terri Schiavo is in a "persistent vegetative state."
"I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office," Frist said in a lengthy speech in which he quoted medical texts and standards. "She certainly seems to respond to visual stimuli."

My second favorite Frist story is the one recently when he was angered at the Dubai Ports World deal and he was going to introduce legislature to kill the Ports Deal. The White House took him to the woodshed and whipped him until he changed his tune. Flip Flop Frist
