I really wish I could afford to get a 4 megapixel camera now... I took the cheap route earlier this year by getting a 2.1 MP camera for $199 (It was a real bargain at CompUSA) - works great in perfect light situations and in high-res mode, but using zoom or even medium res yields undesireable results.

[color:red] Kiss My Banana!
Visit me here!

if you have a tripod you can make perfect pitures even with your camera. a high res camera wouldn't have made a better picture.

http://raszl.net

A tripod will do absolutely nothing to improve the quality of the pictures other than to make sure that there is no motion-blur. The problem with the photo I took is that it is only a 2MP camera so the resolution isn't that high - then I used a digital zoom (since my camera doesn't have an optical zoom at all) which artificially enhances the zoom, which tends to add a lot of grain.

[color:red] Kiss My Banana!
Visit me here!
