Stella for OSX is an Atari emulator...

As far as the ROM is concerned, I'm not sure of the legality of posting a link here... But Google is your friend.

I wasn't thinking of the exact game, just a Mac OS game that combines a few puzzles, a bit of adventure and a quest-type element. However, not a RPG in the modern sense of the word. My wee iBook with its minimal video card makes the battles look like dust skirmishes.

For which type of Nintendo? I can find emulators for all sorts of different devices. The Zelda stuff looks very good and just what I was after.

There are Zelda games for all the Nintendo consoles. Go to http://www.zelda.com - they have a good overview of all the games and which Nintendo console they came out for.

The original is good, but a favourite of mine is "TLOZ: A Link to the Past" for the Super NES.

Righto! I originally downloaded Zelda and played it too much like I did when I was a kid. But then I found Link to the Past which I had never played before and my son and I really dig it. It has a lot more challenging puzzles than the original Zelda.

We are what we repeatedly do. -Aristotle

Yep, that's just the ticket. It's bloody hard though... anybody out there know the way to 'save as you go' along rather than waiting for the save points?

Pete... I'm not posting 'crap'. Have a word with yourself and play nicely... I simply like to see if anybody could offer a friendly tip or two. However, it seems not. Oh well..
