Hey Lea! I already got the "hateful Liberal" prize for posting this (see above). What's so funny is that the Rude Pundit is saying exactly what Bryan is.

Note to self: Must read more carefully.

Other note to self: Want a "hateful Liberal" prize. Must try harder.

This IS embaraasing . . .

Matt, we even live on your street.

In reply to:

. . . your favorite hobby: hate anyone on the right . . .

Not true. My favorite conservatives are Andrew Sullivan, John McCain and Kay Bailey Hutchison. I voted for Bush Sr. and the Republican DA here in Harris County, although now I wish I could take back the DA vote.

Your "list" is disingenuous.
In reply to:

We dislike these people because we dislike they way they do their jobs.

That about sums it up. Matt, this is about disappointment, violated trust, and being taken for granted by the people in the highest offices in the land. You won't see me ranting in boldface caps or posting Bush/monkey images. But I will no longer be an enabler of this ongoing disrespect for the American people, and the alienation of the rest of the world by an administration that has taken the "entitlement mentality" to new extremes.

I also voted for Bush Sr. (let's keep it here though, huh?) I would vote for John McCain for president if he ever got the nomination. His party affiliation means little to me.

I am not a Democrat out of some blind loyalty. The status quo is not acceptable, and the most viable alternative to it right now is the Democrats. And I have no doubt most "liberals" out there feel the same. And I am liberal out of necessity, not because I hate the right.

We are what we repeatedly do. -Aristotle

I think Matt is just POed cause he's been proven wrong and GW has done that work.

What Matt fails to grasp is it's not the Dems or the liberals that have done it to him, it's been GW and his circus of flying monkeys (Oz). He has been betrayed by Bush - like the rest of us, but can't admit it . If he does he also has to admit he was dead wrong about Bush.
~70% of the country feels like we're going in the wrong direction ...
~ 60% think Bush is doing a crappy job...
and it's getting worse , FCS !
how much more evidence does one need to see reality ??

heard an analysis Friday night that was very interesting. Reagan after Iran Contra was in a similar fix- raings dropping... looking "lame duck" but Reagan fixed it (somewhat).

How? he cleaned house- put in new people -got a "fresh start" and his last 2-3 years weren't totally lost. -not like his first ones, but he regained some dignity, and got a few more things done.

According to the analyists Bush will never do this -he's too used to insulation and "yes" men/women,,
If he doesn't he's doomed to waller in his own mess. Not good for any of us.

David (OFI)

In reply to:

Matt, Matt, Matt. You really wanna be scared?

Lea, Lea, Lea. I'm not even close to "being scared". I don't mind the criticisms of any Presidential administration. But the level of anti-Bush, hate-Bush vitriol now spilling over the wall of sanity, like water spilling over a New Orleans levee, is breathtaking. We're setting new records by the hour, it seems.

In reply to:

All 8 individuals and the one propaganda network are lighting rods for controversy.

Still with the "Fox News Bogeyman" I see. As I said before, nevermind that MSDNC has moved to the left of Moveon.org, spewing DNC talking points on Hardboiled and the stuff of Tin Foil Hats on Oggerman, it's FOX NEWS we should be hiding the children and old ladies from . . . Hate, hate, hate.

In reply to:

Rush, Hannity, Malkin and Coulter would have to get real jobs if they hadn't figured out it's easier to scream and rant than produce a serious and thoughtful point of view.

Curious. Do you read Malkin? Do you read Coulter? Do you listen to Rush? Do you listen to Hannity? Or do you spout the same old tired criticisms in the same old Ward Churchill / Al Franken / Michael Moore circles? If you did, you would know that each of the people you listed produces serious and thoughtful points of view. But, I see, they don't line up with your anti-Right points of view, therefore these points of view aren't serious or thoughtful, even though I would venture to say you spend less time listening to them than you do dismissing them.

In reply to:

Trent Lott is a racist.

Really? Robert Byrd stands a better chance to have been involved in actual, real, extreme KKK racists activities than Trent Lott's "interpreted racists" comment. Hate, hate, hate.

In reply to:

Tom DeLay represent all that is wrong with government swimming in corporate money and special interests.

Welcome to Washington. What administration whored out the Lincoln Bedroom for corporate money? Whoooooooooo was it? Hmmmm. Who raised campaign money in a Buddhist Temple? -cough-*Gore*-cough- Welcome to Washington, Lea.

In reply to:

George Bush is a small minded, shallow thinking elitist who would only be a continual failure in the bidness world if he been born to any other rich family.

Ahh. Yes. "We hate George". Got it, Lea.

In reply to:

We dislike these people because we dislike they way they do their jobs.

So who then on the left isn't living up to your standards, oh watchdog of Government? Oh, yeah, it's *only* on the Right.

In reply to:

Sugar, you're the one doin' the hatin'.

And baby, I read what you write at MacLiberals, so don't feed me your crap.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I [censored] bigger than you.
And with that, you have hit the nail on the head.

Since the Bush-haters do nothing but hate Bush, they can't actually explain why they hate the man. It's like a 6-year-old kid saying he hates his father...no rational reasons given.

Then when they try to explain why they hate him, the flimsy reasons they give are so easily debunked that all they can do is reflexively reply with:

Bush is a monkey!
