I have a g3 imac. upgraded from OS 9.2 to OS 10.xx.
I was in Adobe Phontoshop. Couldn't save, said my scratch disk was full. Went to fix scratch disk and computer went down. I am trying to reinstall OS 9 from cd. I get as far as to choose a destination disk - but nothing is there for me to choose. Any answers?

Tammie

Did you do an erase and install, or did you just install over OS 9 when you put OS X on the machine? It's possible that if you did a wipe and install you may not have installed the OS 9 drivers when you installed OS X.

IF that's the case, you'll have to put in your OS X disc and boot from it in order to wipe the disk and install the drivers. You could then restart with your OS 9 disc and install from there.

Let us know what happens.

I will try the install from osx, then reinstall os9 and let you know what happens. I do not have the osx discs on me right now and was hoping there was another way to go about this. Thanks so much. I will get back with you.

Tammie
