They are kinda bland in taste or very mild Apple flavor. Take a bottle of Apple juice and pour half out and fill the half with water and thats about what it taste like. Plus the texture is very soft unlike an Apple, you can just rub off the skin with your thumb.<br><br>I used to use them in my salad bar when I owned a restaurant before, plus the tree was just outside the front door so it was a easy way to fill a bowl for the bar.<br><br>As far as I know I have not heard of stuff like Mountain Apple Pie and other concoctions. Locals use it as a snack when hiking, if they run across a tree on the path.<br><br>
