Notice the headline:

"Republicans blast Senator Clinton ...sh Attack"

Notice the following:

--They refer to Hillary as "Senator Clinton" but no title for Bush..you know, as in "President Bush?"

--As always with the leftist press in this country, Republicans 'blast'. Even though Hillary blasted Bush, that's not how the headline is spun. It's the Republicans that are 'blasting.'

-Again, even though it was Hillary who attacked Bush, it's now called the 'Bush attack,' to deflect any responsibility away from Hillary Clinton.

So, the headline should really read:

"Republicans respond to Senator Clinton's attack on President Bush," but that doesn't serve the agenda or follow the mainstream media template.

The media in this country, which is controlled by the left these days, isn't even a free press. It's nothing more than a socialist propaganda mouthpiece for the Democratic party.

I have friends who work in newspapers and news websites and they are always worried about lengths of words and sentences in headlines in order to make them fit properly in their "box". They do their best to balance this concern while trying to make sure the have given enough info in the title. Everyone knows Bush in President Bush, but there are two quite active Clintons to distinguish between. I notice the also that they abbreviate Senator as Sen. which is again probably because of some space consideration. If in the article below the headline, they had repeated calling her Senator Clinton and Bush just Bush, then you might have a point, but in the body of the article they call them both by their proper title. I am not saying there isn't bias out there, but I think you've got this one wrong. This is a "classic" case of headline compromise.

I'd say they chose to identify which Clinton it is they're talking about since both are regularly in the headlines.

And the story is about Alfred E. Newman "What Me Worry" comment? Oh the inhumanity! So Alfred E. Newman is Hitleresque or what?

By the way, below the headline states:
"ALBANY, New York (AP) -- Republicans took aim at Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday for a speech comparing President Bush to Mad magazine's freckle-faced, "What, me worry?" kid, Alfred E. Neuman

And while we are on the "blast" subject, I think this is also just another way to abbreviate an energetic, negative response to something. It is very clear to me from the short headline that Republicans responded vigorously against some (presumably verbal) attack by Sen. (Hillary) Clinton on Pres. Bush. Put "Democrats blast" into Google and you get over 4,000 hits and from what I could see, they were from all kinds of media news sites, and there were two from CNN on the first page. There was even one or two from commondreams.org which is very liberal leaning, and that was just in the first two Google pages.

There is often too much bias in the media, but your "blast" makes it pretty obvious that there are a he** of a lot of overly biased readers out there.

You are paranoid...

I bet they said Sen Clinton to distinguish her from the Ex-Pres Bill Clinton... and everyone KNOWS when they say Bush it's the President.

my Gawd - Day by Day - your losing your case for Bush being anything but a reasonable, honorable President and you're going ape over it.

give it up... this Administration is the WORST since Nixon !!
Liars and scoundrels ALL, and the Rove revelation just adds to the evidence !!

Clinton was no innocent angel, but a BJ is a far cry from starting unnecessary Wars (Bush, Cheney, Rummy) and committing treason (Rove).

David (OFI)
maybe the liberal media should vow not to use the term blast.

"I sometimes feel that Alfred E. Neuman is in charge in Washington," Clinton said during the inaugural Aspen Ideas Festival, organized by the Aspen Institute, a non-partisan think tank. The former first lady drew a laugh from the crowd when she described Bush's attitude toward tough issues with Neuman's catch phrase: "What, me worry?"

"Hillary Clinton's opportunistic attempt to market herself as a centrist is like a wolf dressing up in sheep's clothing," said RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt. "Such thinly veiled rhetoric doesn't change the fact she is part of today's angry and adrift Democrat Party."

The anger is just seething! Ha! Anything to get that talking point in print. Did Drudge give it a flashing siren headline?

Rush Limbaugh responds to Hillary: "Your ass is fat and your husband is a pornographer" Yes, excellence in broadcasting!

"Here we have a woman -- and I'll say this, you know, she can cover up. She can cover up her rear end with a pant suit but apparently she can't cover her fat mouth. You know, we are at war, for crying out loud. The liberals in the Senate are faking reaching out to people. London has just been bombed. We might have two or three Supreme Court appointments made by Bush, Hillary is out there wanting more federal money for New York state, and the smartest woman in the world, with an asterisk there, by the way, attacks the president with a Roseanne-like stunt. This is something you might hear one of the libs on Crossfire say. I don't know how you change the tone from that. You know, if George W. Bush reminds Mrs. Clinton of Alfred E. Newman then I'll just say it. Her husband reminded me... I thought we had Larry Flynt in the White House for eight years, folks. How's that?"
