the new iBook goes well with the iMac

(that's a glass savignon blanc - in case you were wondering)

now that I got the pic, have to take it apart, add the memory and the airport card. Jag didn't come pre-installed, so I have to install that too. well, I must say so far, these are nice little machines.

iBook 12" 600Mhz with CD ROM, added an extra 256Mb of memory for a total of 384Mb and added the airport card. Also got the Kensington mouse with retractable cord - it looks really neat.

(we just finished the refinance on our house, lowered the interest rate, and as luck would have it - we didn't need to make a Nov 1st payment - so it just so happened we had a little extra cash that totalled the price of the iBook - I do believe the banking gods were with us on this one)

actually, I think Gizmo hit the nail on the head - the updates probably wouldn't be available right away and we weren't looking at a top end iBook anyways. However if the price drop dramatically on the 5th we will just have to look the other way and live in denial
