I don't know how to make a stylesheet, but an "Aqua" one would be very cool! Too bad Apple would shut down this site in a second!

--John Bailey( [color:red]Bdog )

Email Me ---> bdog_111@yahoo.com

i am working on one in my spare time...your stylesheets have an awful lot of tags to consider. i may not be artistically talented to produce a beauty, but i will try. give me a few days.

[color:blue] -sean

glad to hear that you're working on some new stylesheets.. also, I like the new look of the PriceMac sponsorship above. Nice work.

Lastly, good luck to all of you that submit stylesheets. If I can make a few suggestions:

1) crate a large and small font version of the stylesheet you submit (following the current choices) if possible.

2) if you don't know CSS right now, here are a few tips:

Download the stylesheet for these forums:
http://www.macminute.com/images/wwwthreads/stylesheets/stylesheet4.css
(the one I'm using)

Try replacing the fonts/colors/and other things for your own combination.

3) If you'd like to learn more about CSS a few links for you:
Index DOT Css: Index Page
O'Reilly's Javascript and CSS DevCenter
Morphon's Java Based CSS Editor
WestCiv's OS9 Windoze Style Master 2.0 Editor

If you know anything about HTML, then CSS shouldn't be hard for you to pick up -

Good luck everybody, and here's to making the forums more fun to be a part of

john

***
"Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms"
--Clint Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales
wow...thanx! i am using it now and it is the first time i have seen what it looks like. not quite what i had in mind, but not completely bad. the purple background is a little darker than i thought when i selected it from a pallet of colors. i'll play around with tweaking it and send the revised copy when finished. actually, it isn't all that bad when viewing actual threads - i just think it is hard to see the red text on the purple background in places -- maybe i'll try a yellowish color instead. i also want to get the banner at the top consistent with one color (probably the purple as opposed to gray). otherwise, not too shaby for my first attempt.

[color:blue] -sean
Edited by sean on 09/08/01 11:23 AM (server time).

just sent in the fix (be on the lookout fellow posters). i also made the background a little more subtle. i also sent another stylesheet with a lot of white space. may or may not be worth checking out -- it is a mystery to me until i see them posted here (in other words, don't blame me too much if they don't turn out as perfect as you need).

[color:blue] -sean
Don't worry Sean. You don't "need" to make sytlesheets for anyone anyways, so who cares how they turn out (well, I hope they look great!)É

--John Bailey( [color:red]Bdog )

Email Me ---> bdog_111@yahoo.com
